- John Plaskett has worked in television for over 20 years, originally a post-production specialist with a background in editing, design & motion effects. More recently John has worked as a producer and director of a number of television series where his background in Factual Entertainment provides him with a wealth of knowledge and experience in what audiences enjoy.
He began his career working unaccredited on a variety of big named UK shows, within the edit department of a post production facility. Seeking more hands on experience John leapfrogged into a junior role at a small corporate production company in South East London, where he developed his production and post production skills, before moving into a senior editor role at a small broadcaster.
John now heads up the Globetrotter Television Team, bringing his extensive experience in broadcast management and his keen eye for balancing entertainment and factual information. Running the day to day operations of a small UK Broadcaster and Production Company, John specialises in the creation of Travel television programmes.
He's personally known for having a cheery, positive attitude towards life and work and is often seen thick in the action of the productions he has a part in.
