He is a musician by trade. He was cast in the role of Katie's drummer boyfriend after the director saw him playing on the studio recording of Country Girl (2012) songs and for his existing friendship with Jozi Bently.
Played drums on four songs on the soundtrack -- "Don't Think Twice" "Country Girl" "You Get Me" and "Fly Away".
