Biography

Stefan Lundaahl is a Swedish actor who started to act at a very young age but who first fell in love with the craft as an adult. As a child, he made and acted in VHS short films, recorded various characters and improvised little stories and performed prank calls on cassette. Acting was just for fun, but he never thought of it as a potential career path in his youth. Instead, he attended a music high school, where he wrote songs, played in various bands, although he continued to make short films. Later on, he was admitted to a two-year classical composing School in Stockholm, and at that time he also formed his artist alias/band Omnimotion. Short after that the US label Waveform Records released his first full-length album, self-titled "Omnimotion". His song "Underdub" from this album was also included on the soundtrack of the Canadian feature film "Pure" by director Jim Donovan. More songs from his album, together with songs from Brian Eno and Hans Zimmer, were also been incorporated in contemporary ballet shows by NYC based legendary choreographer Moses Pendelton and his dance company Momix, touring in North America, South America and Europe.

Since he knew how to make short films, the step wasn't far to direct and shoot music videos, which he did for his own music as well as for other artists. Some years later, his second album was released along with a vinyl EP and songs on numerous various artist compilations.

Lundaahl's true love for acting, however, was first born when he moved his music studio into a historical cinema sound editing studio. This studio had been used for sound editing, ADR and voiceover work of movies of late legendary director Ingmar Bergman as well as director Roy Andersson's and director Bo Wideberg's films. The history in the walls of this studio was impossible to ignore and succeeded in making a big impact in Lundaahl's creative heart so much so that the love for acting and filmmaking was a sudden "no turning back" state of mind much like a firmware upgrade. Suddenly, at age of 33, Lundaahl realized that acting had transformed from a fun hobby to a passion that must be pursued. It was then that the humbling experience of learning the craft from the roots and trying to figure out the business truly began. Shortly thereafter, Lundaahl attended various acting courses such Stanislavski, Lee Strasberg and mainly Meisner while simultaneously consuming a lot of films on the studio's big screen. He then began to invite friends that shared his passion to make short films and music videos with him. Later, Lundaahl got a lead part in the web series DotaMe that received over 150,000 plays in just a few days. He co-wrote and directed short films and won "Best Film" two years in a row at Sweden's Jameson Empire Awards "Done in 60 Seconds" Competition. Alongside all global entries at the Jameson Empire Awards competition in London, he received a shared second place "Best Film".
