  • Luis E. Parés (Madrid, 1982) is a historian and archivist. He studied Communication Studies at the Complutense and the Master of Creative Documentary at Pompeu Fabra University. As a researcher he has published the book 'Notes sur l'émigration-Espagne 1960. Apunts per a una pel·lícula invisible' (2011), which won a research grant awarded by the Ministry for Youth, and 'Shooting the exile from France' (Instituto Cervantes, 2012). He is working on his doctoral thesis on the same topic at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He has translated 'Ship of mirrors' by Mario Cesariny (Circle of Fine Arts, 2006) and 'The ephemeral and the perpetual in the photographic image' by Boris Kossoy (Chair, 2014).

    He has been a programmer in different festivals like Zinebi (Bilbao), Cine-Europes (Barcelona), POV (Pamplona), (S8) (A Coruña) or for institutions like Hammock ( Barcelona) and the Instituto Cervantes.

    He is working with the Department of Programming of the Spanish Film Library, writes on 'Caimán. Cinema notebooks', among other magazines, and appears as a coworker in the Spanish TV program 'Historia de nuestro cine'.
