Saleem Kallas(1936-2013)

Saleem Kallas began his acting career in theatre while still a university student in Damascus, participating in plays with fellow students starting in 1970. He worked at the Syrian National Theater after university before transitioning to television. He performed in classical theatre productions including Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice and Macbeth on stage. He served as a politician in addition to his acting career, holding political office in Syria.
