Nick is a Wisconsin-born writer, director and producer whose work explores themes of memory, isolation and the unseen. Nick grew up surrounded by the wild, icy landscapes of Lake Superior - a setting that deeply informs his latest work, Mad Island. Shot entirely on location in northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, the film reflects his ongoing commitment to telling eerie, character-driven stories rooted in place and atmosphere.
Nick began his career writing for NBC's Grimm and went on to direct the feature film Lazy Susan, starring Sean Hayes and Allison Janney. Across genres and formats, his work blends grounded storytelling with heightened visual and sonic style - a reflection of his belief that the wilderness, both internal and external, holds more truth than we know.
