Mike Hon

Born in the Greater Cincinnati area, Mike grew up as an only child to parents Kay and David. Throughout elementary and middle school he played various sports: basketball, soccer, swimming, tennis, and racquetball. Mike was an aspiring artist and spent many of hours in his room drawing.

Around 8th grade Mike started to become interested in music. Mike gave up drawing and started playing guitar. Falling in love with various types of rock and metal, Mike decided to pursue music by playing with several local bands. He never found a band with the same taste that he enjoyed. That pushed him to go solo and learn several other instruments. Mike continues to write music for film soundtracks as well as personal enjoyment.

After graduating high school, Mike attended college at Gateway Community and Technical College. He graduated with an Associate in Science to pursue a Biology degree at Northern Kentucky University. Mike switched his major due to a lack of interest in classroom studies.

Mike's passion for music pushed him towards a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Media and Broadcasting. Not only did Mike want to write music, he was a photographer who wanted to incorporate video into his career.

Mike fell in love with visual art and the business aspect of film. He put music in the background and put his entire focus in the local film community and building his resume. Working many "passion pieces" trying to get his name out there, Mike now is an active filmmaker.

Mike created Acidvision Entertainment LLC, a production house, to provide quality and education to his clients and crew. Acidvision Entertainment LLC has provided several internships for students, networked various filmmakers, and quickly made a reputation for itself.
