Biography

A native of Savannah, GA, Davida J. Campbell is an alumna of Spelman College, class of '2011, earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama with a concentration in Stage Management and graduating with Latin Honors, Cum Laude. As a Drama major, Campbell worked in many facets of the department and Stage Managed several shows such as Lysistrata: A Woman's Translation, Directed by Dr. Eddie Bradley, Jr.; Crowns: Portraits of Black Women in Church Hats, Directed by Jade Lambert-Smith; and Agnes of God, Directed by Marion Wright. In 2011, she co-wrote and directed an original production, The Stories of We, chronicling the issues of students in the Atlanta University Center, while upholding the traditions of the colleges. During her senior year in college, she interned at Nina Holiday Entertainment working as a PA on several shows such as "Being: R. Kelly", "Soul Train Awards 2010", and "As Written: Chrisette Michelle." Upon graduation, Campbell was invited to join the team. In 2011, she worked as a Production Coordinator on A Cross to Bear, Script PA on Verses and Flow, and Script Coordinator on the Soul Train Awards. In September of 2014, Davida fell ill and had to relocate back home to Savannah, GA. After recovering in March 2015, Davida created and now serves as the CEO, Content Developer, AND Producer of AUNU Chosen Generation Entertainment.

A native of Savannah, Georgia, Davida Janae Campbell is an alumna of Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia, Class of 2011 earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama and Dance, graduating with Latin Honors, Cum Laude. She is also a product of the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System. Davida accredits her passion for teaching and working with children from the loving and nurturing environment of her loving former teachers and professors. As a Drama major, Davida worked in many facets of the department and Stage Managed several shows during her matriculation at Spelman. As an Alumna, Davida also Stage Managed Founders Day, Class Day, Bachelorette, and Commencement, as well as the Morehouse/Spelman College Glee Club Christmas Carol Concerts, including the concert's preview narrated by Spelman Alumna, actress Cassi Davis-Patton, Class of 1988/2009. Davida also Directed the True Blue Gala Production during the 2018 Class Reunion. In 2011, Davida co-wrote and directed an original production entitled, The Stories of We, chronicling the issues of students in the Atlanta University Center (AUC) while upholding the traditions of the colleges. Davida is the recipient of the Outstanding Stage Management Award, Outstanding Directing Award, and two Director's Chair Award at the annual Spriggs-Burroughs Drama and Dance Ensemble, Ruby Awards. During her senior year of college, she interned at Nina Holiday Entertainment, founded by the dynamic duo actress Terri J. Vaughn and screenwriter/novelist Cas Sigers-Beedles, working as a Production Assistant (PA) on several shows for the BET Network. Upon graduation, Davida was hired to join the team at Nina Holiday Entertainment, one of the many fast-paced independent production companies in Atlanta, GA. In 2011, she worked as a Production Coordinator for several networks, including but not limited to: UPTv and TVOne, as well as worked as a Professional Stage Manager for the company, Creative Eye Endeavors. In September of 2014, Davida fell ill where she had to have an emergency surgery resulting in the removal of her gall bladder. Soon afterwards, she developed complications from the surgery, where as she was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré Syndrome, PE (pulmonary embolism)/DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis), and had to relocate back home to Savannah, Georgia. After fully recovering in March 2015, Davida created True Blue Entertainment Group, where she produced and directed Crowns: Portraits of Black Women in Church Hats at her church, St. Paul CME.
