Jack Shelbourn is a Director of Photography from Rutland, England, Known
for How You Look at Me (2019),
Act/Or (2015) and
Hideaway (2013). Now currently living
and working in London, Jack specialises in hand held camera operation
as well as natural and available lighting. Jack has always had a keen
interest in camera work, but this was further explored when he attended
De Montfort University, Leicester, to study a BSc in Media Production.
After Graduating with a 1st Class (HONs) Degree, Jack moved to study a
Masters in Media Production at the University of Lincoln where he
graduated with a MA, Distinction. During his time at Lincoln he met
Director Cal Johnson, who was
the first director Jack was asked to shoot for. During the filming of
Cottonmouth (2011) Jack met the
actress Amy Brangwyn, who later introduced
him to writer & director
Gabriel Henrique Gonzalez.
Jack & Gabriel have gone on to shoot many films, music videos,
television commercials and fashion promos together. Which is a sign of
their collaborative and creative relationship which can be seen in
their recent film Hideaway (2013), which
has been very well received. Jack is continuing to work with Gabriel,
along with many other directors from across the UK & Europe, and
continues to work on his camera operation, lighting skills and
remaining on top of the latest developments in cinematography
technology.
