- Niall Griffiths (b. 1966) is a writer living in Aberystwyth, Wales. He is a regular contributor to the BBC and the Guardian, the author of non-fiction works and eight novels: Grits (2000), Sheepshagger (2001), Kelly + Victor (2002), Stump (2003), Wreckage (2005), Runt (2005), The Dreams of Max and Ronnie (2010) and A Great Big Shining Star (2013).
Griffiths' fourth novel, Stump, won the Wales Book of the Year Award. A film adaptation of his third novel, Kelly + Victor (2012) , won a BAFTA. In 2014, Griffiths is working on the screenplay for his sixth novel, Wreckage, and a new novel, Broken Ghost.
Niall Griffiths is an honorary professor at Wolverhampton University in the United Kingdom, where he teaches in the creative writing program.
