Sohey Sugihara moved to Los Angeles from his hometown, Hokkaido Japan in 2007 to pursue his professional dance career.
He received his formative dance training in all styles at Millennium Dance Complex, Debbie Reynolds and The Edge Performing Arts Center. He has danced for numerous choreographers such as Wade Robson, Tony Testa, Brian Friedman, Tabitha and Napoleon, Rhapsody James, Gil Duldulao, Andre Fuentes, & Matt Cady.
After over a decade of his professional career as a background dancer / assistant choreographer, he now choreographs and performance directs for artists.
He has joined HYBE America in 2023, becoming the performance director for its first ever global girl group : Katseye.
