- Michael Robert Hart (also credited as Rob D. Hall) is a native Texan and former Texas Police Chief, Hostage Negotiator, Author & CSI Investigator, turned actor, with a powerful presence shaped by decades of real-life experience in law enforcement, ministry, and public advocacy. Before beginning his acting career, Hart served over 30 years as a law enforcement professional, holding positions such as Patrol Supervisor, Crime Scene Investigator, Forensic Analyst, Instructor, Police Chaplain, and Crisis Negotiator. He holds Master Peace Officer and Special Investigator certifications in the State of Texas and was promoted to Police Captain at just 28 years old- the youngest in the cities history. At age 34, he became one of the youngest Police Chiefs in Texas. Michael brings to the screen a rare authenticity, shaped by his real-world experience as an only gay Police Chief, ordained Priest, EMT, Investigator and licensed mortician. He holds advanced degrees in Forensic Science, Criminal Justice Administration, Theology, and Pastoral Counseling. For over two decades, Hart has also served as a bishop and ecumenical priest within the Anglican and Independent Catholic traditions, overseeing chaplaincy services in hospitals, crisis centers, and correctional settings. In 2009, he co-authored an Amicus Curia brief to the California and U.S. Supreme Court in support of marriage equality -- contributing to the groundwork for national recognition of same-sex marriage in the United States. Now a SAG-AFTRA affiliated actor, Hart draws upon his unique life journey to bring depth and truth to complex roles. He is the proud father of three grown sons, all residing in Texas.
