Evelyne Sullerot was born on October 10, 1924 in Montrouge, Seine , Île-de-France, France. She died on March 31, 2017 in France.

Sociologist and author; she is the co-founder with Marie-Andrée Lagroua Weill-Hallé of France's La Maternité heureuse which became in 1960 Mouvement français pour le planning familial.
