Scott Altman is an award-winning writer-director and executive producer whose work spans film, television, music videos, and branded content. Known for combining cinematic storytelling with strong production leadership, he has delivered projects from development and script stage through production, post-production, and international release.
Altman began his career as a teenager working as a pyrotechnician at Ardmore Studios before training in animation and VFX. He later joined MTV in London, where he created Promax award-winning campaigns for the MTV Europe Music Awards, earning recognition across the broadcast industry.
In 2013, Altman received the Pearl & Dean Director of the Year award for a cinema campaign promoting Hot Press magazine. That same year he collaborated with Kanye West and went on to direct and executive-produce music videos for artists including Shift K3Y, Philip George & Anton Powers, and Jax Jones, with multiple releases achieving millions of online views and Top 20 iTunes download status. He was later commissioned by Saatchi & Saatchi to direct advertising campaigns and developed a TV pilot featuring Alan Ford (Snatch), Adam Fogerty (Legend), and Natasha Byrne (Holby City).
His documentary on homelessness, narrated by Irish broadcaster and music journalist Dave Fanning and featuring Academy Award-winner Glen Hansard and Academy Award-nominee Jim Sheridan, won Best Short Documentary at the Dublin Independent Film Festival. In 2021, his independently produced feature film, shot in Los Angeles, was released on Apple TV, Tubi, and Amazon Prime Video across global English-speaking territories.
Altman continues to develop original film and television projects while also leading the creation of high-impact short-form and branded campaigns, blending his creative vision with extensive production experience.
