Majid is an actor, theatre director, writer and teacher with extensive professional experience in the TV, Film and Theatre industry.
As an actor he has worked across TV, Film and Theatre. Notable work includes playing series regular Herod Agrippa in Testament (Angel Studios) Jesse Donovan in Hollyoaks (Channel 4), Carson in Doctor Who (BBC/Disney +), starring as Efrahim in the feature film Chosen (Netflix), appearing in The Girlfriend Experience (Amazon Prime) and performing the lead role of Albert in War Horse in London's West End.
Other companies he has worked with include BBC, The National Theatre, Everyman & Playhouse Theatres, The Park Theatre, Theatre 503, Theatre by the Lake and Royal Exchange Theatre.
As a writer he is a graduate of the prestigious Playwriting Programme at the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool. He wrote, co-directed and performed Y'MAM (Young Man's Angry Movements) at the Everyman. The show received four stars from The Guardian and The Stage. He performed Y'MAM for two weeks at the Soho Theatre, London in May/June 2022.
His professional directing debut was in July 2022 at the Blue Elephant Theatre, London, where he directed new play Give Me the Sun by Mamet Leigh.
He is the co-founder of The Craft Masters Acting Group.
He has also worked closely with UK charities Change Grow Live, Baby People, The Old Electric Sunshine Project and Football Beyond Borders, hosting workshops and discussions with the young people they work with.
