Biography

Ignacio Walker is an Emmy Nominee Cinematographer, Director & Producer. Known for Her Shark Story (2025), Netflix's Our Great National Parks (2022, ep. Chilean Patagonia), Our Planet (2019, ep. Fresh Water) and Life on Our Planet (2023 ep. 4 & 6), CNN's Patagonia: Life at the Edge of the World (2022) and Quito My Story (2018). He was born in Santiago de Chile.

Walker launched his career as a Director and Cinematographer, capturing compelling stories for the BBC and other networks across South East Asia, the Middle East, and South America. Over the years, he has expanded his expertise to both documentary and narrative filmmaking, serving as a Cinematographer and Director. His versatile portfolio also includes music videos and commercial projects.

Walker has collaborated with renowned platforms such as Netflix, HBO, National Geographic, and CNN. Additionally, he has done the cinematography for three feature films, further solidifying his reputation as a multifaceted visual storyteller. He lived in Los Angeles, CA and was the President of the Chilean Society of Cinematographers (2023-2025).
