Andre Alves(I)

Andre Alves is an author, playwright, fiction writer, screenwriter, and film producer based in New York City. Originally from Fortaleza, Brazil, he moved to the USA in 1985 and pursued studies in political science with a focus on international relations and hospitality management at New York University. With a diverse background spanning the hotel, real estate, music, and literary industries, Alves played a pivotal role in establishing Brazilian music as a prominent presence in the New York club and concert scene. Venturing into literature, he co-authored "Unbound," his debut novel exploring the Inquisition in Portugal, alongside Paz-Bezerra, which also inspired the screenplay "Branca." Alves has authored original screenplays including "The Abode," a supernatural horror, "Unfelt," a psychological thriller, "Fears," a suspense horror, "Int. Hallway / Night," a comedy horror, and "beat dancing," a dark comedy. Additionally, he wrote "Contact Point, Leah Smets," an action thriller. Currently, Alves is immersed in crafting a two-act play adaptation of "Branca," based on his novel, and is actively developing a television series and two screenplays: "The Mark of Cain," a reimagining of the book of Genesis, and "The Priest," a crime drama.
