Dawn is best known for Selma, Lila and Eve, The Boss and Devious Maids. Dawn is also known for animal rescue, Multiple Sclerosis awareness, Service & Emotional Support Animals advocacy and as a guitar player. Dawn has a Multiple Sclerosis and a PTSD Service/ESA dog named Kevin; she also has a rescue cat named Catrick Swayze. Dawn is an independent On Set Medical/Disability/Crisis Consultant and Health & Safety Team Member in the television and film industry as health allows. Dawn graduated from college, with honors (Magna Cum Laude) as a double major, earning Bachelors Degrees in Psychology & Health & Human Services; she then went on to obtain her Masters in Counseling (Crisis, PTSD) and is FEMA Incident Response Certified. Dawn volunteers for crisis and grief counseling services. Dawn was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2011 and started playing guitar to alleviate MS symptoms and pain. Dawn is an MS and/or Disability Representative in the film and television industry. She is a former counselor and social worker; was an ER medic in college. Dawn is a strong advocate for Animal Rights & Welfare.

While serving as the Medical/Technical Advisor and Researcher for the film Selma, Director Ava DuVernay cast Dawn in a small principal role as a doctor, which allowed her to become SAG.
Dawn is disabled with Multiple Sclerosis. She started playing guitar as part of her treatment plan for living with MS.
Dawn graduated from college (Magna Cum Laude) as a double-major, obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors in Sociology. She has also a Masters Degree in Counseling, specializing in PTSD, grief, crisis.
While in college, she worked in an emergency room and as a medic. She became FEMA Certified.
Dawn has volunteered in hostage and active shooter training videos with law enforcement.

The only thing worse than harming, abusing, neglecting and mistreating animals is to see it happening or know it's happening, yet doing nothing to stop it.
