Felicity Flesher was born in Oxford, Mississippi to two accountants who apparently needed a little more excitement in their lives. Felicity grew up in this hot, humid Southern town until she took off to Minnesota with a brand new winter coat at age 17 to attend Carleton College where she would play on the nationally-ranked women's tennis team. At age 20, Felicity graduated magna cum laude in Cinema & Media Studies from the top liberal arts school. She was also able to study at Cambridge University in the UK for a semester.

Felicity got her start in the industry as an intern working alongside Kermit and Miss Piggy for the Jim Henson Company in film and television development. She has also toiled away in media for the University of Mississippi, Carleton College, and on various independent feature and short films. She managed to break into television as a writers' production assistant for two seasons on CBS' The Odd Couple starring Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon. Working on The Odd Couple, she met 6-time Emmy Award-winner (and genius) Dan O'Shannon and joined him as his assistant developing comedy television at CBS, including work on multiple pilots and two seasons of sitcom Superior Donuts. She then worked on the first season of the ABC drama Grand Hotel, co-produced by Eva Longoria. She followed this experience working at Universal Pictures supporting the Universal Monsters team and putting up with all of Frankenstein and Dracula's antics.

Her first student short film, "Expiration Date," about a boy whose life is changed when an expired ramen cup gives him radioactive powers, was honored at the Oxford Film Festival and paved the way for many more including "Killer Kudzu," about a Southern town-eating vine, and her undergraduate thesis film, "COLT," about the intriguing scandal involving famed gunmaker Samuel Colt and his murderous brother. "It Won't Fit in a Killing Jar," a chilling short she wrote and co-directed was named Best of Mississippi at the Delta International Film & Video Festival and has screened in festivals up and down the Mississippi River from Memphis to Minneapolis. A half-hour sitcom spec script she wrote made it to the second round of the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Competition, final round of the Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest, final round of the World Series of Screenwriting, final round of the Hollywood Screenplay Contest, and won the WILDsound Screenplay Contest.

Study remains a passion as Felicity continues to pen film-related blog posts and and present peer-reviewed papers, including her published essay on race in 1949 American film. Along with Clarence Pruitt, Felicity also co-hosts and produces a podcast on Western movies, entitled Film Frontier.

Among the young writer's varied creative priorities are to bring laughter and entertainment whenever possible with original content, to introduce forgotten histories back to audiences, and to highlight the real nature of regional culture (including her own background as a Mississippian, Southerner, and brief experience as a Minnesotan) on a broad scale.

When she's not writing, Felicity can be found watching movies and TV, baking all kinds of sugary and fatty goods, hitting aces, smacking softballs, or kicking field goals. In 2020, she had the opportunity to not only appear on (and win) 25 Words or Less, but in the same month, she also fulfilled a lifelong dream of appearing on (and miraculously winning) Jeopardy! Not even a global pandemic could lessen the thrilling experience of getting to meet Alex Trebek.
