Cathy Brooks-Baker is a published writer with an earlier career in 16mm/ 35mm film (researcher, director, and editing assistant). After her book publisher husband died in 2005, she became an English teacher, traveled and enjoyed other cinema cultures.
Her purpose with the her first film, The Teardrop Vase, was to focus her creativity; more exactly, to learn about the way digital technology has brought a profound sea-change to filmmaking, whilst sharing many of the older analogue disciplines.
