Biography

Madras born Filmmaker Dabbu relocated to Los Angeles in 2010 to study film at Art Center (ACCD) - the Alma mater of Zack Snyder & Michael Bay. He began his career in as a Script Analyst and Assistant Producer and moved to Development, Packaging and Positioning for Film & TV projects. He was nominated for the Cannes Young Director Award for in 2013 for 'Living Home India'.

In 2015 he launched his production company 'Overturn' with his childhood friends Siddarth Prakhash and Cinematographer Niketh Bommi. His recent productions are 'Nilanadukkam' (2020) (Overturn Pictures, Fly on the wall Films) which premiered at Festival du nouveau cinéma Montreal and Creative Producer for Bloom (2021) (Room 101, Madras Talkies) filmed and released during the pandemic. Creative Producer - Meme Boys (2022) (Sony Liv, Rainshine Studios), Pearl Gate (2025 - In Development) (Overturn Pictures).

Dabbu has also directed high end commercials for Chevrolet, Puma, Kaiser Permanante.

As Producer he specializes in Development, Design, Packaging, Marketing and Positioning of Entertainment Projects and Talent.
