Biography

As the Head of the Abu Dhabi Film Commission (ADFC), Sameer Aljaberi is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization, including the rebate and locations departments, the industry directory, and government services that support Abu Dhabi's production ecosystem.

Since joining ADFC as an intern in 2009, Sameer has gained deep institutional knowledge of Abu Dhabi's unique and diverse locations. Previously serving as Head of Locations and Government Resources, he has not only advised producers on location selection but also provided logistical support on the ground, acting as a liaison with local government authorities to ensure a well-coordinated experience for all productions. His expertise has been instrumental in supporting major projects across Bollywood, Hollywood, Regional Arabic, and local industries, contributing to high-profile films and series.

In addition to his work at ADFC, Sameer is an award winning motivational speaker and the only Emirati to date to reach the International Toastmasters Speech Contest. He is also passionate about photography, filmmaking, music production, and voiceover work.
