Biography

Raj Israni, a notable entrepreneur in the entertainment industry, embarked on his illustrious career after travelling the globe for nearly 14 years. Following his marriage in 1983, he returned to his hometown, Mumbai, where he initiated his first business in marketing video cassettes. Leveraging his international exposure and business acumen, Raj executed legally billed video film cassettes in India, collaborating with Magnum, Time, and Bambino to form United Three Private Limited. This pioneering effort laid the groundwork for his future ventures.

His hands-on experience in film video production and marketing led him to produce numerous films and short films. In 2007, he produced the Bhojpuri movie "Shrimaan Driver Babu," and in 2009, he directed and produced the Marathi movie "Chingi." However, with the advent of the cable industry in 1992, video cassettes became obsolete. Undeterred, Raj conceived and established India's first comprehensive modelling, casting, and talent portal, Modelspoint. This platform became a cornerstone of the entertainment industry, placing the right talent in the right roles.

Building on this success, Raj founded Israni Entertainment India Ltd, a company that diversified into various segments of the entertainment industry. Under his leadership, Israni Entertainment expanded into digital wedding filming with Israni Photography & Films and fashion and celebrity photography through Luv Israni Photography. These ventures have become well-regarded names in their fields.

Raj's innovative spirit didn't stop there. Recognizing the potential of digital platforms, he established Huvi Digi Life Private Limited, which offers services to actors, models, and the broader entertainment community through a mobile app, making these services accessible across India. This initiative was further supported by the creation of Indian Film History, a portal archiving data from the Indian film industry dating back to 1913. This archival portal encompasses 19 regional languages of India. The portal is a one-stop for complete information and provision for various entertainment segments.

In addition to these ventures, Raj launched Filmi Jobs App, a digital casting agency that provides job opportunities across the entertainment industry. This app, functional on both Android and IOS platforms, has over 6000 active users, ranging from spot boys to directors. Another innovative platform, Filmi Shorts, delivers Bollywood news and updates on the go, catering to film buffs and industry professionals alike.

Over his 35-year career, Raj has created opportunities for more than 25,000 actors and models, helping them navigate an industry that was once reluctant to embrace new talent.
