Biography

Ralf Zillmann was born on July 7, 1978, in Germany. He attended Schule am Wildfang Gronau Leine, Christopherus Schule Elze, Georg Sauerwein Realschule Gronau, and completed his education at BBS Alfeld with a focus on business studies.

He trained as an actor at the Kirschcoaching private acting school in Berlin from 2005 to 2008. Ralf began his acting career in 2006, with his first role as a pathologist in the short film FRATRIZID. His first major film role was as SS-Scharführer Peter Barow in 1945 - Eine Geschichte.

His early experience included school theater and musicals. His film credits include The Zone of Interest, Der Schneegänger, and Die Unsichtbaren - Wir wollen leben. He has worked on international productions and collaborated with notable directors, including Jonathan Glazer.

A method actor, Ralf immerses himself deeply in his characters by researching their backgrounds and psychology. He favors complex, nuanced roles but is also comfortable in comedy. Notable challenging roles include Hoffmann in The Zone of Interest, Peter Barow in 1945 - Eine Geschichte, and a detective in Die Unsichtbaren.
