Biography

Nicholas Anthony Reid: an artist known for portraying poetic loners, charismatic outsiders, and emotionally complex men you love to hate-or hate to love. His range spans from a staunch conservative in Dear White People (2017) (Netflix), a vulnerable love interest in Good Trouble (2019) (Freeform), to a goofy oddball in The Neighborhood (2018) (CBS), and a haunting turn as Michael Jackson in Adel Abidin's art film Michael (2018).

Following his breakout role in Dear White People (2017), Nicholas appeared in award-winning features such as Only (2019) (Tribeca), Hunter Gatherer (2016) (SXSW) and Little Jar (2022) (Austin Film Festival). A biracial LGBTQ storyteller, he is passionate about narratives that explore identity, resilience, and transformation-believing that story has the power to awaken empathy and spark meaningful change. He is a dedicated student of Diana Castle's The Imagined Life, where he trains under Faline England.

His stage work includes Bootycandy by Robert O'Hara (Celebration Theatre), Obama-ology by Aurin Squire (Skylight Theatre), and The Maiden's Prayer by Nicky Silver (Matrix Theatre).
