Srinath, born Narayana Swamy, reigns as a legendary Kannada actor and film producer, affectionately titled "Pranaya Raja" or King of Romance for his captivating romantic portrayals that dominated Sandalwood screens during the 1970s. Hailing from Mysore, he kickstarted his career in amateur theatre and cinematography training in Bengaluru, entering films with a minor role in Lagna Pathrike before exploding into stardom via his lead debut in Madhura Milana and the blockbuster Shubhamangala directed by Puttanna Kanagal.
