Biography

Irene Menéndez Palomino is a director, actress, independent producer and teacher with current residence between Paris and Madrid. She started acting professionally at the age of 15. In 2011 she moved to New York to continue her studies and collaborate with director John Strasberg. She then began to work in the independent theater scene of Brooklyn and to direct her first audiovisual pieces. In parallel to her work as an actress, she is the co-founder of the production companies Be True Productions (NYC) and Frame Rate (Asturias), with which she has produced several films selected and awarded in International film festivals such as Cleveland Film Festival, Gijón International Film Festival, Austin Film Festival, FID Marseille, Seminci and Medina del Campo Film Week, among others. Irene is developing "Pasar el agua" her first feature film as a director. In 2026 she will star in the films "Anorak Rojo" by Ado Arrieta, "Los Cuidados" by Nadia Mata Portillo and will participate in "How the light gets in" by Diego Llorente, among others
