Biography

Brooke Gladstone was born in 1955 in Long Island, New York. She has been married to Fred Kaplan since 1983.

Co-host (with Micah Loewinger) of WYNC Radio's nationally syndicated program On the Media.

Gladstone and her husband, journalist and media analyst Fred Kaplan, have twin daughters.

Winner of a number of journalism awards, including a 1991 John S. Knight fellowship, a 2004 Peabody Award, and a 2020 Front Page Award.

Gladstone is an award-winning journalist, author, and media analyst, and longtime host of the public radio program On the Media (WNYC).
