South Korean American Filmmaker, Alan Tracy was adopted as an infant into the United States living with his parents and older sister in a suburb of the Twin Cities. Alan decided to become a filmmaker at the age of 8, after watching the movie E.T. with his family. Alan wanted to know who was responsible for creating films and his dad told him, "the director." And that was the moment Alan knew what he wanted to do with his life.
Alan's passion for film continued throughout high school and he watched and studied every movie he possibly could. After graduating, Alan attended Minneapolis Community and Technical College and was awarded a degree in Filmmaking. He continued his education at Metropolitan State University, graduating with a focus on film and entertainment marketing. Alan made his directorial debut in 2005 with student film "Modus Vivendi."
Alan loves all aspects of making movies and has expanded his experience into writing, sound editing, visual effects and production management. He has worked on dozens of films and participated in numerous festivals and screenings.
In 2011, Alan formed independent film production company Colliding Pictures in the USA, which has to date produced 30+ short films, one feature film "Electric Addiction". Colliding Pictures is also known for its web series Lab of Laughter (2012) and The Source (2015).
Alan is now completing a reboot of a character named "Dana" in a short film trilogy that will likely expand into a series and/or feature film next.
