Sandro Mesquita is a passionate executive director of social documentary series and volunteering, known for his ability to tell genuine and powerful stories that inspire change and foster social awareness. With a strong formation in education and a passion for tackling difficult and relevant issues, he has directed, from his position in large corporations, renowned series that explore diverse contemporary issues.

His career in the field of production and communications began in 2008 when he produced Latin America's first television volunteering series, "Piedra Papel Tijera". He quickly stood out for his ability to capture the essence of human experiences through the assembly of multidisciplinary teams that could detect a social problem, provide a solution, and take it to different screens to positively impact society. As a documentary filmmaker, he has worked tirelessly to give voice to those whose stories are often overlooked in mainstream media.

In his role as executive director of documentary series for DIRECTV/SKY and AT&T in Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market, he has led innovative projects that address a wide range of issues, from direct action for a better society, fighting poverty, visiting forgotten post-disaster communities, better education to promoting volunteering and community action. His unique approach and commitment to authenticity have made his works resonate deeply with audiences and gave him recognition from both critics and the public.

Among his most notable achievements as corporate executive director of documentaries are: Finalist of Digital TV Europe's Content Innovation Awards in 2016, in 2020 he won the award for Best International Short Film at the Puerto Rico Festival with "Bambú, la historia del Indio Restó" and lastly, at BAFICI 2021 with the short film "Poeta Peruano".
