Biography

David Bruce Fichtenmayer is an American actor, producer and military veteran. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. David was always a fan of films growing up. After the tragic death of his mother he was even more so absorbed in the world of cinema.

Shortly after he joined the United States Army and served 6 years in Fort Drum, New York. During his term of service he was deployed and served in Iraq 2 times for a total of 30 months overseas, and received awards such as the Army Achievement Medal, Army Commendation Medal, and the Bronze Star. About 4 years into his service he was introduced to filmmaking and the art of acting. He immediately fell in love with the entire process and has become his passion ever since. From that day forth David has devoted his entire life to acting.

His first major film roles were in "Build a Fire" and "Beyond the Ropes". His first major role in a feature film was in "Get Out Alive".

His critically acclaimed, longtime collaborations with director Alexander Raye Pimentel which began in 2009 with "The Incredible Thug" earning them two official selections and another two festival wins with "Build A Fire". In addition, he received awards for his acting from the Theatre Association of New York State for the stage performances of "Don't Talk to the Actors" and "My Three Angels".

David has an A.A. Liberal Arts - Humanities and Social Sciences degree from SUNY Jefferson.
