  • Tenma Shibuya (Shibuya' Tenma) , was born January 13, 1969 is a Japanese actor, classical dancer, and cultural exchange activist. He started his acting career in 1993 after returning from the United States. He made appearances in a number of films, stage productions, and TV series in his early acting career in Japan. Tenma Shibuya appeared in the director Yukio Ninagawa's theater "Romio and Juliet" in 1998. He starred the film "Agitator" (2002, directed by Takashi Miike), and Japanese animation film "Appleseed"(2004, directed by Shinji Aramaki) as a villain Uranus, motion capturing actor.

    Tenma Shibuya started his acting career in China in 2006. In 2007, Tenma Shibuya appeared in his first film in China "Flying Tigers" as a supporting role. In 2008, he starred Hong Kong Kunfu film " Ip Man", he played a very impressive villain in this film. In 2011, he starred "The Flowers of War" (Christian Bale leading, directed by Zhang Yimou), and played a villain in Chinese TV series "Borrow Gun"( the highest revenue in the history of Chinese TV shows at that time). He also appeared in Taiwanese film "Kano" in 2014, Russian TV series "Sorge", and appeared as a villain in multinational production "Air Strike (2018)" (Bruce Willis, Adrien Brody starred, art director: Mel Gibson ).     Tenma Shibuya also was a president of Chinese media production company during 2012-2017, dealt property in copyright of films between China and Japan.

    Tenma Shibuya has been a Japanese classical dancer and songwriter for more than twenty years. He has volunteered in international cultural exchange activities for over 30 years, he founded a Tokyo-based nonprofit organization aiming to promote cultural exchange.

    Tenma Shibuya has appeared in over 100 works of films, TV series and stages in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the U.S. Today, he is recognized as one of well-known Japanese actors in Greater China.
