Kyle "Brainwave" Baxter grew up on the Philadelphia suburbs playing
drums and producing for indie rock bands. Using his experience with
rock music as a platform rather than a crutch, he delved headfirst into
producing for different genres such as hip hop and pop to generate new,
innovative sounds that blur genre lines. With an emphasis on using live
instruments, he quickly set himself apart as a master of producing
organic yet polished records.
In 2013, Brainwave teamed up with New Jersey rapper Ricky Rude to form Bright Boys Entertainment--a record label designed to develop emerging musicians in a way that harnesses their own artistic vision and provides them with the production skill, knowledge, and resources necessary to make them successful in a cannibalistic industry. In doing so, he has built a team of multifaceted musicians, videographers, and businessmen whom he and Ricky manage and work with to create finished products that garner attention from audiophiles and casual listeners alike.
