Sara is an American-Armenian raised by a single mother in Fresno, California. She possesses a diverse skill set spanning film, fashion design, ballet, jazz, folk dance, comedy, and visual arts. In addition, she is trained in Japanese Shotokan martial arts, earning her first-degree black belt at the young age of 12.
Her childhood summers were filled with sports and outdoor activities. At age nine, Sara became a Brownie in Girl Scouts, developed a love for horseback riding, and began playing the violin-a pursuit she continued through university. Tennis also became a lifelong passion.
Sara’s talents were recognized early at the renowned Roosevelt School of the Arts, where she performed in the Intermediate Choir, Theatre, Orchestra, and Dance programs. She also enjoyed recreational figure skating, inspired by Olympic competitions. With the quarter-semester GPA of 3.9, Sara earned a Performing Arts Scholarship, which enabled her to study ballet, European dance, salsa, belly dance, and receive private figure skating lessons, helping her refine her skills to a professional level.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Sara demonstrated leadership and athletic involvement. She served as manager of the boys’ tennis team at Roosevelt High School, later joining a competitive girls’ tennis team through a private club. Academically, she accumulated an extensive number of credits and, as a senior, enrolled in morning classes at California State University, Fresno through the Step to College Program, taking courses in English, horsemanship, Armenian language, and ballet. With only two high school classes remaining to graduate, she embraced the opportunity to begin university early.
In 2006, Sara auditioned for and was accepted into the university’s Portable Dance Troupe, where she practiced modern dance and performed for two consecutive weeks of live audiences. Sara continues to pursue her passions in acting, singing, and dance with relentless ambition. She also has a natural aptitude for learning foreign languages and adapting to new cultures.
Between 2010 and 2011, Sara gained recognition for her work in television and film, appearing in shows such as NCIS: Los Angeles, The Doctors, Dr. Drew’s Life Changers, Excused, and America’s Court, as well as comedy pilots with the Wayans Brothers and feature films starring Julia Stiles and Taye Diggs. During this time, she also appeared as a background dancer in a Nick Carter music video and performed background work in a number of projects including automotive and banking commercials.
In 2020, Sara joined ASCAP as a songwriter and publisher. In 2022, she completed Behavioral Technician training in college, focusing on taking care of her mom who was diagnosed with dementia and her brother who has Autism. In 2024, Sara earned her Paralegal and Westlaw Edge Certification through UCLA Extension and Thomson Reuters. In 2025, Sara became a member of SAG-AFTRA after being union-eligible for 14 years. In 2026, Sara plans to take her career to the next level by pursuing as many opportunities as possible.
