- Lorna Nickson Brown is an award-winning film director, writer, producer and actress, from Birmingham, England, known for Dog Run (2023), The Jetty (2024), and Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale (2025).
She is being mentored by BAFTA-winning film and television director, Saul Dibb, through her selection on the 2025 DIRECTORS UK Inspire Programme.
Lorna's short film, Dog Run (2023), won the 2023 Breaking Boundaries Grand Prize Award at the 41st Flickers' Rhode Island International Film Festival. The film has picked up multiple awards at festivals internationally and is now available on Apple TV.
Her award-winning BFI NETWORK short, Ned & Me (2020), was selected in the 2021 International Competition at the 43rd Clermont- Ferrand Film Festival.

- Lived in Kathmandu, Nepal as a child.
- Is of Scottish, Irish and Albanian heritage.
- Was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2015 after doctors found a lump in her neck. As of May 2017 she was in a remission for just slightly more than a year after having the left side of her thyroid, where the cancer was, removed.
