Born in Barcelona in 1984, Gerard Mates began making films at the age
of ten using his father's video camera and puppets as actors. After
finishing his studies in Telecommunication Engineering, he decided to
travel to Sydney to study his real passion: Filmmaking. Gerard attended
The International Film School Sydney between 2009 and 2011, directing,
producing and writing numerous short films.
