- Born in upstate New York, Andrew Klass has since lived in Massachusetts, Iowa, and where he now calls home, Chicago. A lifelong cinephile, Klass has always wanted to cross over from enthusiast to creator.
He's studied: film, fine art, printmaking and sculpture at the University of Iowa; Graphic novel creation and film at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts; And advertising art direction and graphic design at Columbia College Chicago.
A fan of cinema since early childhood, Klass quickly realized that the horror genre held a special place in his heart. He finished his first short film (along with 3 close friends) for a horror short film contest. His film, T is for Touch, has garnered reactions of disgust and horror from friends, family and strangers alike. It is scheduled to screen at the Chicago-based horror film event, Terror in the Aisles, October 21st, 2011.
He plans to soon start his own production company and begin making films any way he can, with the hopes turning it into a career.
