- Born in Genoa, Carlo is an architect. Between 2003 and 2009 he made independent videos and in 2010 he made his debut as a director with the short film 'Janua' (14th Genoa Film Festival). Since 2011, he has been writing and directing documentaries such as 'Black Block' (68th Venice Film Festival) and 'La Provvista' both focusing on the G8 in Genoa, La Scelta (40th Turin Film Festival) on ten years of the no TAV struggle in Val di Susa and, in 2024, 'Persone' (19th Rome Film Festival) dedicated to the patients of the former asylum in Rome. He collaborates with various newspapers and magazines: for Internazionale, in 2011, he directed the play 'I giorni di Genova' as part of the Ferrara Festival and, in 2021, he contributed to the writing of the 'Limoni' podcast. He is currently developing a new documentary entitled 'Costa'.
