Alex Rey is an animation film director, screenwriter, and designer. He has directed his career towards author-driven animation, developing a personal style based on experimentation, creative freedom, and a handcrafted aesthetic. He combines satire, absurd humor, and social critique, using mixed techniques and building a personal visual universe. His career highlights several short films, including The Incredible Vaccine of Doctor Dickinson (2020) and Phonorama (2022), works that reflect his interest in intimate stories, extreme situations, and an ironic view of reality.
