- Mathilde Suissa is a Writer and Director of film, music video and commercials based in New York. She received her BFA in Directing from Hunter College, where she was a recipient of the BAFTA Scholarship, Judith Zabar Talent Award and the Emerging Filmmaker Award. Mathilde has worked in the film and commercial world for over 7 years with expertise in the Camera and Art departments, on projects for clients such as Calvin Klein, Fenty, Puma, Atlantic Records, Nike, Coca Cola and more. Mathilde’s narrative writing and directing work has screened at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival, Academy Award qualifying Cinequest, NewFest, and Portland Film Festival amongst others. Her spot for Nike was acquired by iPic Gold Entertainment for national distribution as a special preview in movie theaters. Her film Hidden, which premiered at Cannes, is streaming nationally and in the U.K. on Short Frame after a successful festival run. Mathilde was a recipient of the Bronx Art Council's Film Grant for her latest film, Wraith.
