Christine Buccelli

Christine Buccelli is an American actress, singer, and writer raised in San Diego, California. Of Cambodian and European ancestry, she began performing in theatre at an early age and has continued to work across performance and writing. She earned a BFA in Acting from UC Santa Barbara in 2013 and studied Shakespeare at the British American Drama Academy’s Midsummer in Oxford Program.
As a writer, Buccelli has written two one-act plays, including "Champa Battambang," a biographical movement piece inspired by her mother’s childhood in Cambodia under the Khmer Rouge regime, and "Expiation." Her work often explores history, memory, identity, and the supernatural. She is developing original screenwriting projects and writing her first novel, drawing on the stories, histories, and folklore of her native San Diego.
