Ballet is viewed as being pretty niche, very women-oriented, a little bit elitist, and in some ways a very exclusionary form of dance. Don't go into it the way these kids in ('First Position') have gone into it, because it's too demanding to put yourself through that if it's not literally the only thing you want to do. That's the same with documentary filmmaking. It's too tough of a life, and the money is definitely not a guarantee.
