Kirby began her acting career in 1999 when she began studying Theatre Arts at the University of Arkansas (Little Rock), and graduated in 2002. She picked up her film career shortly after graduation, and continues this profession to this day. Kirby has names for commercial, short film, and feature film work. She is currently a producer for BigNFunky Productions (2022).
