Overend Watts was born on May 13, 1947 in Yardley, Birmingham, UK. He died on January 22, 2017 in Herefordshire, England, UK.

He ran a retro store in Hereford, selling specialist clothing, unusual antiquities, instruments and rare music. He wrote a book, The Man Who Hated Walking, published in 2013.

Founding member and bassist for Mott the Hoople.
