A Cinematographer, Colorist, Director and Film Lecturer from Jordan with over 14 years across fiction, documentary and commercial work.
He holds an MFA in Screenwriting and Cinematography from Red Sea Institute of Cinematic Arts, and a Diploma in Digital Filmmaking from SAE Institute Amman.
Ghassan has shot over 230 projects in 17 countries, Big World (2019), an Int’l doc series filmed in eight countries across Asia and Africa.
He also shot The Woodland (2023), which premiered at Red Sea Int’l Film Festival (2023) and won Best Arab Short at Amman Int’l Film Festival (2024), and has collaborated with many filmmakers locally and across the Arab world
He has taught and mentored filmmakers at SAE Amman, Royal Film Commission, Doha Film Institute and Med Film Factory.
Nazmi is currently in pre-production for Hu-jub, an observational visual-experimental documentary and the first film in his film manifesto "Dark Wave Cinema", an art form based on authored visual expression, formal experimentation and autonomous cinematographic language.
