- Alec Pinkston is a production specialist and creative generalist who started on stage in Chicago at Second City and IO before moving into writing, producing, directing, and editing.
With 100s of comedic sketches, shorts, and pilots under his belt, he transitioned into advertising where he continues to keep the lights on by connecting savvy Brands with clever Filmmakers to efficiently create branded digital entertainment that is resourceful and engaging.
As 1/2 of the directing duo the Knot Twins, Alec has developed a whimsical style that is equal parts handcrafted, engaging, and slightly silly with a focus on miniatures, puppetry, and stop motion animation.
Over his career Alec has written and directed the live show (and dvd) "Spectacular Comedy Spectacle", travel show pilot "How To Get Lost", comedic pilot "Sick Day Morning Show", animated political satire "Senataur" (which won Project Greenlights "Next Great Animated Series" competition in 2018) and currently in development for a social series called 'The Floating Kitchen' - an absurd but somehow educational show starring puppets teaching about food.
