- Ana Trkulja is an existential filmmaker from Belgrade, in former Yugoslavia - a multicultural country that no longer exists. She is drawn to authenticity, tension, and the details other people tend to miss. Inspired by Wim Wenders' *Wings of Desire*, she moved to Germany in 2007 and later studied Film with Wenders at HFBK Hamburg. Her work often begins with something ordinary, strange, or overlooked and follows it until it reveals something larger.

- It is hard to make a movie, but that does not mean that there is no magic in it. One should keep in mind that only ca. 6000 features are produced in the world on the yearly basis. If one says that it is only 1 % of all people who could make a movie, then it comes down to the fact that only 0,1 % of world population is literate in film language. And that is a privilege.
