Sly Green

Sly Green had his first role in the 4th grade. He then fell in love with lighting design, set construction, and acting for theatrical productions over the 8th grade year and high school. After graduating High School in he attended Ball State University in Indiana where he enlisted in the Indiana Army National Guard as an 11B Mounted Infantryman.
In 2004 he was called to Active Duty to go to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom III. At the end of his tour of duty, he spent some time gaining skills in other industries, until returning to college in 2007. While enrolled at McNeese State University he pursued his Theatre Major with a double concentration in Theatrical Performance, and Design and Theatre Technology, to become a member of the McNeese Bayou Players.
While attending MSU, he had the opportunity to both design lights and have a principal role in Lee Blessing's "Two Rooms" for which he was nominated for an "Irene Ryan" award and received an "Excellence in Lighting Design" award at the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF). Sly also served as the primary lighting designer from 2008 until 2013 for the Governor's Program for Gifted Children (GPGC) summer program, and lighting director for KPLC Channel 7's "Annual Children's Miracle Network Telethon" while attending MSU.
After graduating from McNeese in the 2010s, and a short stint as lighting tech and designer for an events house in Houston, Texas, Sly went on to Los Angeles to pursue performance in the film industry, a goal since he first stepped on the stage in the 8th Grade. Since moving to Los Angeles, Sly has had the opportunity to work on various projects with some fantastic artists. While film and TV ebbs, Sly, who is a lifelong gamer, can usually be found with his streaming community over on Twitch. Just search for Kaezlo.
