Buddhika Jayaratne made history as the first Sri Lankan actor to play a leading role in an international English-language film, starring in Sunny's Mansion (2025), directed by Australian filmmaker Herman Perera. This marks his second international appearance, following Arugam Bay (2024) by Israeli director Marco Carmel.
With a career spanning over two decades, Buddhika has captivated audiences through a remarkable range of performances across film and television. His journey began with the acclaimed romantic drama Rosa Wasanthe (2001), directed by Udayakantha Warnasooriya, where he also designed the costumes-showcasing his creative depth and artistic versatility.
