Born in Canada, Christopher Lai is a composer, songwriter, producer, arranger, guitarist and DJ. As a film composer, he has scored multiple award winning films by the critically acclaimed director Andrew Lau and up-and-coming directors in Hong Kong. Christopher is currently scoring two feature films to be released in Hong Kong and China during 2025-2026.
Christopher is the winner of the Crow Hill Company's 2025 Tina Guo Storm Cello Scoring Competition and a winner of the 'UCompose 2021' competition hosted by Universal Production Music, whereby his compositions were included in an album release with the world's largest production library. He is now officially part of the roster of composers in the Universal family.
